About Chris Heldman:
Chris joined Legacy Leaders in 2007 to head up the U.S. business unit. In that role, he developed some of the largest proactive planned giving marketing programs in the U.S. Now, as President and CEO, he is responsible for program and services development, cultivating client relationships, operational budgets and working to set the future direction of our organization.

Our team is a diverse group of experienced planned giving, fundraising, marketing, project management and business specialists. We work together, complementing each other’s skills and strengths, to provide some of the best gift acquisition and donor cultivation programs. Our planned gift expertise lies in our focus on relationships and – as it turns out – our relationship focused approach translates well to annual/current giving as well! Vice President, Business Development, U.S.
Since joining Legacy Leaders in 2015 as Vice President of Business Development, U.S., Kevin has used his exceptional relationship cultivation and networking skills to build strong relationships with some of the top philanthropic organizations in North America. Kevin brings 20+ years of prior sales and marketing experience, which provides him an incredible ability to grow the Legacy Leaders brand within the U.S. market.
Director, Business Development, Canada
In 2008, Tim joined Legacy Leaders to manage the relocation of our Toronto head office and the opening of our fundraising center in Las Vegas. Subsequently, he led the operations of our Las Vegas and Toronto centers. With many years of prior business management and sales experience, Tim is ideally suited to his new role as Director of Business Development, Canada. During leisure time, Tim enjoys hobbies related to his family cottage in Northwestern Quebec.
Director, Client Services
Since joining Legacy Leaders in 2012 as Client Services Coordinator, Jessica has been an integral member of our Client Services team. Currently, as Director of Client Services, Jessica effectively manages both internal resources and 3rd party partners to ensure the successful execution of fundraising campaigns on behalf of our clients. During her tenure, she has made major contributions to 60+ programs. Jessica is an animal lover who enjoys volunteering with local animal rescue organizations.
Manager, Donor Compass and Special Projects
With Legacy Leaders since 2010, Gail started as a Client Services Manager and then transitioned to her current role as Manager of Special Projects. She is responsible for overseeing a diverse range of projects including the recent development/implementation of our proprietary database analysis software and our website redesign project. Gail brings 20+ years project management experience including 15 years in nonprofit fundraising. She has a passion for cooking, enjoys the outdoors and time with family.
Manager, Client Services
Michele joined the Legacy Leaders team in 2016 as a Client Services Coordinator. To date she has assisted with over 30 programs and is now successfully managing planned giving and stewardship programs in the role of Manager, Client Services. She really enjoys working collaboratively with our clients and helping to develop the creative elements to our programs. Michele is passionate about art and DIY projects and can be found volunteering with the Toronto International Film Festival every fall.
Director of Philanthropic Services
Silene joined Legacy Leaders in 2019. She comes to Legacy Leaders with more than 5 years of Project Management experience in the Oil & Gas industry, Innovation, and Healthcare. Silene believes in the importance of using Data to better inform daily decisions and shape a company’s strategy. As a Senior Manager, Philanthropic Services, Silene manages client relationships, internal resources and Third-party partners, to achieve excellent results for our clients. Silene enjoys traveling and has lived in 3 different continents.

Our Featured Donor Relationship Specialist:
In January 2008, we opened our Toronto center and Dorothy joined our team, bringing 5 years prior charitable calling experience in both annual/current giving and planned giving. Since then, she has consistently demonstrated her uncanny ability to engage donors/supporters. During calls, her quiet charm and grace come through, disarming donors/supporters and drawing them willingly into detailed conversations about their philanthropic goals and support for our nonprofit client(s).
She is intelligent, thoughtful, detail oriented and has a generous nature, donating both her time and considerable knitting/crocheting talents, to support organizations like Safe Kids Canada, Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Support Programs and many school programs. And Christmas just wouldn’t be Christmas without Dorothy’s handmade ornaments! Is it any wonder why Dorothy is our featured DRS!
